CSR impacts of Mobility by Colas solutions

23.11.2022

The environmental, climate and societal challenges, as well as the evolution of uses, present both constraints and opportunities for Colas. Thus, the Group develops offers and services related to sustainable development issues. Its ambition: to imagine and propose the responsible infrastructures of tomorrow (safe, sustainable, accessible, shared, connected), at the service of users, and for the opening up and economic and social development of territories.

In this context, Mobility by Colas launched a study with Goodwill Management in early 2022 to assess the CSR impacts of the Mobility by Colas approach. The challenge is to provide business and CSR indicators for each of the Mobility by Colas offers.

Each offer was analyzed as follows:

  • An inventory of the impacts with the identification of the stakeholders and the objectives pursued
  • Transformation of these impacts into indicators
  • Selection of indicators based on several criteria
  • Modeling and valuation of impacts based on data collected in the field and in the literature

ANAIS ANAIS is a digital service that makes it possible to improve the safety of travel by identifying, from data collected by vehicles, areas posing a risk to traffic. The objective of this service is to improve the attractiveness of peri-urban and rural areas by accompanying the road manager on the relevance of the work carried out on the infrastructures and by checking (through indicators) whether the safety of users improved after intervention in these warning zones.
ANAIS aims to promote and encourage the development of quality, reliable, sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

QIEVO is a digital tool that optimizes mobility and logistics around urban sites, in order to promote the acceptability of these sites and the management of multi-stakeholder flows. It helps to limit nuisances for users by directing trucks to dedicated routes and by limiting congestion and inconvenient parking on the public domain.
This digital service promotes the ecological and energy transition by improving the air quality and the carbon footprint of construction sites through a phygital platform that allows the planning and regulation of logistics flows. QIEVO is also a lever for the development of the district because it facilitates the movement in the city and thus, the accessibility of local shops.

Moov'hub is a MaaS (Mobility as a Service) tool that pools and simplifies access to all public/private mobility services in a territory. It is a solution that promotes selected, decarbonized and soothed mobility. Moov'hub encourages changes in user behaviour in a territory by offering them access to soft and shared mobility solutions. It also makes it possible to link isolated territories by promoting intermodality. This promotes the sharing of urban space and the establishment of positive economic, social and environmental links between urban, peri-urban and rural areas.
Thus, Moov'hub promotes the ecological and energy transition by reducing pollution and congestion by reducing the use of individual cars and promoting modal shift solutions. This facilitates the mobility of everyday life, in connection with the implementation of sustainable and responsible policies.
